Who said healthy breakfasts aren't tasty ?

Yesterday was my last day of exams till May, which means I'm on holidays for a week! It's been almost 2 months that I was studying, so it's a well deserved rest! To begin my little vacation, I decided to treat myself with a delicious breakfast! As you can see on the picture above, I made a small bowl with lots of ingredients in it, there's also a bottle and my favourite tea (I made a review here). First of all, let me explain what's inside my bottle. It's simple: water, lemon and honey. I drink this infused water everyday, once or twice a day. I also drink my YourTea everyday, but I'm going to try new teas really soon :-) Here is my smoothie recipe!

What's in the bowl ?    
The first picture above is the smoothie (recipe: 1 banana, 2 kiwis, 1 orange, 1 lime, and ice) + the cereals (with chocolate bits) as topping. Then, I added banana slices, and maple syrup. But, why smoothies ? There are a lot of reasons why I love smoothies.
  1. "5 fruits and vegetables a day". Consuming the daily recommendations of fruits and vegetables can be a challenge. But if you blend a couple of servings of each into a smoothie, it will help your body’s daily nutritional needs.
  2. That's quick and easy. Making your own nutrient dense smoothie doesn’t take as long as preparing most meals. So it gives you more time to do others things. 
  3. Weight loss. A lot of healthy programs promote replacing a meal with a liquid drink. Your blender “chew” your food and ease the burden on your digestive system. 
  4. Tasty. Yes, eating healthy and tasting great can match. There are a lot of recipes you can find on the web to help you choose recipes you would love to eat or drink.
  5. Energy. Smoothies can be enjoyed as either a wake-up tonic or an afternoon refresher. And that’s a far better method of staying awake and energetic than knocking back all those dehydrating coffees.
